MEET CHRIS

My wife and I moved to Minnesota looking for community and a place where our budding family could enjoy the great outdoors.

As we established roots in our neighborhood, we’ve found friendship, adventure, opportunity and so much more. Both of our boys are thriving - the oldest in a nearby public school and our youngest in a vibrant montessori-style classroom. Our experience here strengthened our belief that everyone deserves a safe place to build and grow and continues to inspire my run as a progressive candidate for Golden Valley City Council in the 2025 election.

As an Eagle Scout, youth coach and passionate public servant, I will focus my energy on creating opportunities for the next generation, while protecting the characteristics of Golden Valley that have made it an amazing place to live, since 1886.

Through innovative planning, we’ll create housing options for neighbors of all backgrounds, while protecting key features of our charming residential neighborhoods. Improved local infrastructure will make our outdoor amenities more accessible and bring sales to the many small businesses that drive our local economy.

These changes take time, but I’m committed to finding a way forward. Let’s take a walk and talk about what matters to you.

Developing Community Access

Golden Valley’s minimal infrastructure forces us to travel primarily by car. Walking with a stroller or biking can be a scary experience. Increased walkability allows residents to shop local, enjoy the outdoors and connect with their neighbors.
Great Housing = Stronger economy

We need to grow our population base to support our city’s infrastructure, but we have to do it right. By increasing housing density along major corridors like Hwy. 55, we’ll create housing opportunities that support community wellness, and invigorate the local economy.
Business, Big and small

Golden Valley is home to Fortune 500 and small businesses alike. Rezoning key pockets of our city makes way for new corner shops & boutiques, restaurants & gathering spaces, ensuring every neighborhood has a “just down the street” kind of charm.
